Introduction

TPDC Members

The TPDC consists of members from various key sectors, including:

• Ministry or Government Agencies
• Industries (Technologists / Technicians)
• Academicians (Technologists / Technicians)
• Learned Societies / NGOs / Related Societies (Technologists / Technicians)

Function of TPDC

The TPDC has the following functions:

1. Establish and review certification policies and criteria.
2.  Recognise guidelines and processes to achieve certification goals.
3. Approve the appointment of evaluation panels.
4. Recommend decisions based on proposals from the evaluation panels.
5. Submit certification decisions to the Board for approval.
6. Advise the Board on the development and operation of certification both locally and internationally.
7. Monitor and validate training providers to ensure compliance with standards, report on certification operations, and recommend policy changes to the Board if necessary.
8. Advise the Board on training programmes offered by Training Providers to enhance the quality of the training provided.

Introduction

TPDS is responsible for managing the following functions:

• Managing application processes for the approval of Professional Development Certification and Professional Technical Certification submitted by training providers and Pusat Bertauliah.
• Liaising with training providers and other organizations on relevant guidelines and approval procedures.
• Preparing reports and analyses of received applications for monitoring and improvement purposes.
• Conducting training sessions and workshops for training providers and assessment panels on certification applications and evaluations.
