Professional Development Certification

Background of Professional Development Certification

Professional Development Professional Development Certification (PDC) is one of the core functions of the Technology and Technical Professional Development Council (TPDC), under the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT). PDC ensures that training programmes and short courses in the technology and technical sectors meet rigorous industry standards, contributing to the continuous professional development of technologists, technicians, and other professionals.

Through this certification, TPDC evaluates and accredits training providers offering courses that align with the evolving needs of the technology and technical fields. The PDC process helps ensure that the courses enhance the competencies and skills of professionals, enabling them to progress in their careers and meet industry demands.

In collaboration with key stakeholders, including the Human Resources Development Corporation (HRDCorp), industry leaders, and educational institutions, TPDC’s PDC function plays a critical role in fostering a highly skilled workforce and supporting Malaysia's growth as a technology-driven economy.
